Why Webhooks Are Critical

When a student enters their credit card during checkout, Stripe securely handles the payment. Stripe then sends a real-time HTTP POST event (a Webhook) to Convoia Academy to confirm the charge succeeded.

If the webhook endpoint is missing or configured with an invalid signing secret, the student's card will be charged, but their course access won't unlock automatically!

Webhook Setup Instructions

Go to your Stripe Dashboard > Developers > Webhooks.

Click Add an endpoint.

Enter your Endpoint URL:

Under Events to send, select the following events:

- checkout.session.completed

- invoice.paid

- invoice.payment_failed

- customer.subscription.deleted

Click Add endpoint.

Under Signing secret, click Reveal and copy the secret key (starts with whsec_...).

Contact Super Admin to save this secret key in your tenant billing configuration.
