Unlike traditional LMS platforms that serve raw MP4 files (which can easily be downloaded using browser extensions), Convoia Academy processes all video uploads through an encrypted HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) pipeline.

How Video Processing Works

Upload: You upload an MP4 or MOV file in the Admin Lesson builder.

Transcoding: The server processes the video using
ffmpeg into an adaptive .m3u8 playlist with 6-second .ts segments.3
Object Storage: Segments are automatically mirrored to high-speed Cloudflare R2 object storage.

Secure Token Verification: Student players stream segments using signed JWT session tokens verifying enrollment in real-time.

Supported video source formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, up to 4K resolution. Recommended source bitrate: 1080p at 5,000–8,000 kbps.
