Step 1: Open Your Cloudflare DNS Dashboard

2
Select your domain zone.
3
Navigate to DNS > Records in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Add CNAME Record

Click Add record and input the following parameters:

Record TypeName (Host)Target (Content)Proxy StatusTTL
CNAMEacademyconvoia.academyDNS only (or Proxied)Auto
text
Type Name Target Proxy Status TTL
CNAME academy convoia.academy DNS only Auto
PRO TIP

Setting Proxy Status to DNS only (Grey Cloud) during initial verification avoids Cloudflare Universal SSL certificate conflicts. Once verified, you can switch to Proxied (Orange Cloud).

Step 3: Configure Cloudflare SSL/TLS Encryption Mode

1
Go to SSL/TLS > Overview in Cloudflare.
2
Change your encryption mode to Full (strict).
WARNING

Do not select Flexible. Flexible SSL creates an infinite redirect loop (HTTP 301 loop) because Convoia's edge servers enforce HTTPS.

Step 4: Verify Propagation

Use an online tool like whatsmydns.net to verify your CNAME record has propagated globally. Propagation typically completes within 2 to 10 minutes.
